About L & J Tire & Wheel
L & J Tire & Wheel is an used tire shop in Phoenix, Arizona. It is listed at 5014 E Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ 85008, which places it among the local businesses of Phoenix that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as tire shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach L & J Tire & Wheel at (602) 273-6866; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, facebook.com.

If I can give this place a 0 I would, they clearly scam you. I went here to get a used tire because I got a flat, I told them the specific car tire and tire size and they gave me the wrong size and then the following day the new used tire was flat. I told them that it was wrong but they didn’t care and I told them if we can exchange it but they said they are not going to do exchanges or replacement. So obviously they don’t care at all, all they want is your money. To top it off when I went on the day to buy the new tire, the employee who helped me was completely drunk and reeked like beer, and in the corner you see a pack of beers. Never coming here again.

Terrible spot! Came by because it was one of the closer tires shops to me and had a bad tire so I couldn’t drive far. Gave me a good deal for used tires. When driving on the tires they gave me my car was shaking more and I blamed my suspension. Eventually it felt like I was repeatedly driving over a speed bump that’s how bad it was. Then my tire blew out and I realized that my suspension was fine and it was the tire I bought from them that had a bump/bubble in it. All happened within 3 weeks of buying it. Of course they didn’t want to help. BEWARE THEY MIGHT SELL YOU A BAD TIRE AND ONCE YOU LEAVE THEY WONT HELP YOU!!! Also we’re messing around and shoving tools up each others butts and saying “I like it” which made me uncomfortable. I was sketched out the whole time being there. No clue why I thought it was a decent idea to get work done there. Big mistake!!!

I brought in two newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles for tire service, and what happened afterward was one of the most dangerous and unprofessional experiences I have ever had with an automotive shop. After the work was completed, five lug nuts were never reinstalled on one of the wheels. The tire was also mounted incorrectly. While driving, the wheel began coming loose and I was forced to pull over and call roadside assistance to avoid what could have become a serious accident. When I later took the vehicle to my trusted tire technician for inspection, I was informed that the work had been performed improperly and should never have left the shop in that condition. This was not a minor oversight—it was a major safety issue that put me, my passengers, and other drivers at risk. To make matters worse, the shop charged premium prices for what should have been routine tire work, refused to take accountability, refused to offer a refund or compensation, and treated me with complete disrespect when I raised my concerns. I even had a witness present during these interactions. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, I was insulted and made to feel as though my concerns did not matter.

Straight up honest good work here, whether it’s patch work, tire replacement , balancing, etc. I’ve used them a few times in the past. i originally came for patch work because i was using street tires offroad, and ended up leaving better than I started with e load all terrain tires for a great price. Basically whatever your needs are, they got you covered

Getting real tired of this place, pick any government agency to stop by and shut them down, their customers will try to pick fights when you’re walking by on the sidewalk for no reason, disabled vehicles without plates parked out front rotating constantly. Love that I went for a run this morning and saw their signs down and gates locked because someone stole the tires they were using to hold the signs up 😂😂😂 employees also mean mug you if you’re passing by like all their clientele. But I like how cheap the rent is living next door to these people
